Bloomsbury Rifles Officer's Helmet Plate

A rare, blackened/silvered, helmet plate for an officer of The 37th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps (St Giles & St George's, Bloomsbury) with three lug fastenings (north, east and west).

Worn c1878-80 only, as the 37th corps was renumbered as the 19th Middlesex Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1880.
