2nd VB Worcestershire HP

A rare, blackened brass, helmet plate for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Worcestershire Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). HQ at Worcester. Bennett 236.

Note: Bennett dates this badge from 1883 and argues it SHOULD have been superseded in 1884 with an updated star design but says it may actually have been worn right through until 1908 (with the Victorian crown).
