2nd VB Lincolnshire Regt Helmet Plate

A scarce, white metal, helmet plate for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Lincolnshire Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). HQ at Grantham.

Note: This plate is unusual in that it shows a 'strap' to the centre rather than the standard circlet. Perhaps this is a conversion from an earlier rifle volunteer helmet plate?
