2nd VB DCLI Helmet Plate

A scarce, white metal, helmet plate for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry with two lug fastenings (east and west, the north lug is missing). Some damage to the star tip at 3 o'clock. HQ at Bodmin.

Note: This is Ivall & Thomas reference 273 (not illustrated), which the authors date to c1882-1908 (despite the Victorian crown).
