Cameronians Officer's CBP

A rare, hallmarked silver, cross-belt plate for an officer of The Cameronians (The Scottish Rifles) with four screw fastenings (three nuts in place) and its backplate intact.

The reverse of the backplate bears hallmarks for Birmingham 1901 (I think - maybe 1895 instead?). There are also marks in the laurel wreath (by the Scottish Rifles scroll).
