2nd VB Manchester Regt HP

A rare, white metal, helmet plate for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Manchester Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). Worn c1888-1901. HQ at Manchester.

Note: This plate comes with a curious combination of black cloth and red felt backings - the latter showing through marginally above the former.
