A rare, silver-plated, helmet plate for an officer of the 1st volunteer battalion of The Royal Berkshire Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). HQ at Reading.

Note: The Berkshire Regiment was granted the Royal title in 1885 so this plate dates to c1885-1901.
