2nd VB Glosters Officer's PBP
A rare silver-plated pouch-belt plate for an officer of the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Gloucestershire Regiment with three screw fastenings (north, east and west). Worn circa 1883-1905. Brinson G62.
Note: Brinson states this style of plate with the Victorian crown was worn right through to 1908, although a version with the South Africa honour was used circa 1905-08.
Unfortunately, the central backing disc is now missing and there is some damage to the blades designed to hold it in place.
