97th Foot Helmet Plate

A brass helmet plate for The 97th Foot (Earl of Ulster's - later 2nd battalion of The Royal West Kent Regiment) with two lug fastenings (east and west). Worn c1878-81 only. KK211.

Note: The crown has been somewhat crudely repaired/soldered.
