Birmingham Battalion Mufti Badge

A brass and enamel mufti badge for the 14th-16th (1st-3rd Birmingham) battalions of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment with a pin fastening. The reverse is marked for manufacturer J.W. Dingley B'ham.

Note: The usual buttonhole fastening has been replaced with the pin fastening.

These badges were worn by the three 'Birmingham Pals' battalions of Kitchener's Army before the issue of their distinctive cap badges.
