2nd VB SLI FS Cap Badge

A rare, white metal, field-service cap badge/collar badge for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Somerset Light Infantry with two lug fastenings (north and south). Worn circa 1905-08 only. HQ at Taunton. Churchill 440.

Note: Churchill describes this as an officer's pattern collar/field-service cap badge in silver - he does not mention an other ranks' version in white metal.
