Ox & Bucks Service Battalion Collar Badges (?)
A nice pair of blackened brass collar badges for a service battalion of The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill & Westlake 225.
Note: British Army Collar Badges 1881 to the Present, by Colin Churchill & Ray Westlake, states these badges were worn on the collar by service battalions of this regiment circa 1914-18.
Surprisingly, there appears to be no mention of them in Colin Churchill's more detailed book
Alternatively, they may be collar badges/partial shoulder titles for a 'rifle' unit, perhaps used by rifle volunteers.
