HLI (Vols/Militia) Glengarry Badge

A white metal glengarry badge for a volunteer/militia battalion of with two nicely toned lug fastenings (east and west). Bloomer 1, p57 (top left).

Note: Bloomer states this badge was worn by the 1st and 2nd volunteer battalions, circa 1887-1901 although he also states it was worn by the 5th, 7th and 8th (territorial) battalions prior to 1916.
