RIF Brodrick Cap Badge

A rare, bi-metal, Brodrick cap badge for The Royal Irish Fusiliers with a slider fastening and the usual ‘sweathole’ construction. KK693.

Note: Early versions of Kipling & King say this badge was worn with a small coronet, later versions say it was worn without a coronet.

The Military Historical Society's 2020 special publication "A Monstrous Piece of Cloth" The Brodrick Cap, by Toby Brayley (p38) shows a photo of this badge on the Brodrick cap. It is worn with a small coronet.
