King's County Round Forage Cap Badge

A rare, brass, round forage cap badge for The King's County Royal Rifles (Militia) with one lug fastening (west, as viewed from the rear, with the east lug missing and remnants of a solder replacement). Worn circa 1858. KK1283.

Note: This unit became the 3rd battalion of The Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) in 1881.
