King's County Round Forage Cap Badge

A rare, brass, round forage cap badge for The King's County Royal Rifles (Militia) with two lug fastenings (east and west). Worn circa 1858. KK1283.

Note: This is a two-piece badge with a light infantry bugle above (with two lug fastenings, north and south). However, Kipling & King does not mention a bugle horn.

This unit became the 3rd battalion of The Prince of Wales's Leinster Regiment (Royal Canadians) in 1881.
