Anodised SLI Collar Badges

A scarce pair of, anodised aluminium, collr badges for The Somerset Light Infantry, each with a single (central) lug fastening. Churchill 418.

Note: Churchill states "although manufactured it is doubtful if they were ever worn due to the amalgamation of the regiment in 1959".

He adds "the sealed pattern... shows a single-lugged variant" (this pattern).
