22nd Foot Last Pattern Shako Plate

A scarce, brass, last pattern shako plate for The 22nd Foot (later 1st battalion of The Cheshire Regiment) with two lug fastenings (east and west - the west lug, as viewed, is crudely repaired and split open). Worn c1869-78. As KK179.

Note: This plate looks to have been lacquered.
