1st VB Dorset Cap Badge

A brass (previously blackened?) cap badge for the 1st volunteer battalion of The Dorsetshire Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). Approximately 30mm wide x 37mm high. Churchill 1103.

Note: Churchill states this unit wore the same collar badges as the regular units, although the undress hat badges are sometimes mistaken for collar badges.

He adds: "The badges appear in various metals but all are headdress badges."
