2VB DCLI Collar Badges

A pair of white metal collar badges for the 2nd volunteer battalion of The Duke of Cornwall's Light Infantry, each with two lug fastenings (north and south). HQ at Bodmin. Churchill 911/912.

Note: Churchill states this battalion wore the badge on the right as a field-service cap badge from c1895-1908 and he adds these badges were believed to have been worn as collar badges in South Africa 1899-1902.
