Northumberland Fusiliers Puggaree Badge

A brass, 'circlet pattern', puggaree-style badge for The Northumberland Fusiliers with a long slider fastening. The neck of the grenade is reinforced. KK962.

Note: Colonel Denis Wood's book on The Fifth Fusiliers and its Badge (reference 147 in the second edition or 124 in the first edition) describes this badge (with lugs east and west) as a slouch hat badge and dates it to circa 1902.
