4H NCO's Arm Badge
A scarce, white metal, arm badge for a non-commissioned officer of The 4th Queen's Own Hussars with two lug fastenings (east and west). Linaker & Dine 22.1C.
Note: David Linaker & Gordon Dine, in their book on Cavalry Warrant Officers' And Non-Commissioned Officers' Arm Badges, date this badge to circa 1950.
Linker & Dine state: "The crown has been silver-soldered to the monogram. This may be as the badge was manufactured or it may be a subsequent repair.
"It is believed that this badge was made for the regiment in Germany shortly after its arrival from Malaya 1948-51 when the previous stock was near exhaustion."
