Manchester (Vols) Collar Badge
A white metal collar badge for a volunteer/territorial battalion of The Manchester Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 1537.
Note: Colin Churchill's book on the History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge suggests these collars were worn post-1888 by the 1st, 3rd and 5th volunteer battalions (according to the Gaunt pattern books) but also worn as late as 1914 by the TF battalions.
