North Riding RV Collar Badge

A blackened brass collar badge for The North Riding (of Yorkshire) Rifle Volunteers with two lug fastenings (north and south). The reverse is marked for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London.

Note: Despite the name, I understand this unit was part of the WW1 volunteer training corps (VTC) movement rather than the earlier rifle volunteer movement.
