QOH NCO's Arm Badge

A chromed, arm badge for a non-commissioned officer of The Queen's Own Hussars with three blade fastenings (south, east and west). Linaker & Dine 21.1A.

Note: David Linaker & Gordon Dine, in their book on Cavalry Warrant Officers' And Non-Commissioned Officers' Arm Badges, date this badge to the late 1960s.

They state: "Badge A is the chromed arm badge. It is secured by long flat pointed tongues blades, which are pushed through the Garter blue backing and then folded over.

"The backing is then stitched to the No 2 dress tunic to avoid making holes in the sleeve."

Given the backing is firmly fixed in place by the blades, I have not attempted to provide a photo of the back of the badge.
