A white metal shako plate for The 2nd Administrative Battalion of The Forfar or Angus Rifle Volunteers with two lead-soldered lug fastenings (east and west). Bloomer 2, 135.

Note: William & Kathleen Bloomer, in their second book on Scottish Regimental Badges 1793-1971, describe this white metal badge as an officer's shako plate and date it to 1864-82.
