2nd Edinburgh RVC HP

A rare, white metal, helmet plate for The 2nd City of Edinburgh Rifle Volunteer Corps with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). Bloomer 2, 22.

Note: William & Kathleen Bloomer, in their second book on Scottish Regimental Badges 1793-1971, describe this white metal plate as the officer's version and date it to circa 1882-8.

The tip of the east point (as viewed from the front) is missing.
