3/Vol/Warwicks Shoulder Title

A scarce, bronzed, shoulder title for the 3rd volunteer battalion of The Royal Warwickshire Regiment with three lug fastenings. The reverse is marked for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London. Westlake 783.

Note: Ray Westlake, in his book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles, states five battalions of Warwickshire Volunteers were raised in 1914 (as part off the volunteer training corps/VTC movement) and transferred to the regiment in 1918 as the 1st to 4th volunteer battalions.
