R Sussex Officer's Collar Badges

A pair of silver-plated and enamel collar badges for an officer of The Royal Sussex Regiment, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 979.

Note: Colin Churchill, in his book on the History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge, says this pattern was adopted with the advent of the brigade system (1958) until amalgamation in 1966.
