V/TC/Portsmouth Shoulder Title

A scarce, brass, shoulder title for The Portsmouth Volunteer Training Corps with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). The reverse is marked for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London. Woods 10.6.

Note: This unit formed part of the WW1 Volunteer Training Corps (VTC) movement.

This title is mentioned in Ray Westlake's book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles but not illustrated (p96 in the second edition).
