A scarce, brass, helmet plate centre for The Oxfordshire & Buckinghamshire Light Infantry with all four of its staple-style loop fastenings intact. The centre has a black felt backing. KK399.

Note: Kipling & King (volume I) states: "This pattern was worn from 1908 when the title of the regiment was changed following the disbandment of The Buckinghamshire Militia and the desire to perpetuate its title. (Authority: Army Order No. 270 of 1908.)"
