1VB Y&L Cap Badge

A very nice, bi-metal, cap badge for the 1st volunteer battalion of The York & Lancaster Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). Worn circa 1897-1908. As KK679.

Note: Ivan Machin's https://www.yorkandlancasterregimentbadges.com/tiger-and-rose-pattern-badges-volunteer-battalions website describes this as the first pattern badge.

I suspect this badge has 'sweathole' construction, although it is hard to see what is behind the rose on this example.
