Anodised RM Officer's Cap Badge

A two-colour, anodised aluminium, cap badge for an officer of The Royal Marines, with two lug fastenings (east and west) on each part. The rear of the globe and laurel is marked for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London. KK2099 or Rawlinson 233.

Note: John Rawlinson, in his book Personal Distinctions 350 Years of Royal Marines Uniforms and Insignia, states anodised badges for officers were introduced in 1959.
