RB Officer's Cap Badge

A silver-plated cap badge for an officer of The Rifle Brigade with two lug fastenings (east and west, somewhat flattened/opened out). The reverse is marked for manufacturer J.R. Gaunt London and 'P' for silver plate. KK2019.

Note: There appear to be some faint marks between the bottom of the cross and the Prince Consort's Own scroll - perhaps this badge was cast from a hallmarked silver example?
