ICRV Glengarry Badge

A rare, blackened brass, glengarry badge for The 23rd Middlesex (Inns of Court) Rifle Volunteers with two lug fastenings (east and west). There are two strengtheners behind the letters.

Note: This unit became a battalion of the Rifle Brigade in 1881 and was redesignated as The 14th Middlesex (Inns of Court) Rifle Volunteer Corps in 1889.
