A rare, white metal, helmet plate for The 1st Ayrshire & Galloway Artillery Volunteers with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). Litchfield & Westlake 48.

Note: This plate is slightly bent in the middle and the reverse of the plate has some red felt/residue stuck to it.
