V/3/Hants Shoulder Title

A scarce, brass, shoulder title for the 3rd battalion of The Hampshire Volunteer Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). As Westlake 1109 or Woods 10.23.

Note: Terence Woods, in his book on The Military Insignia of Hampshire and The Isle of Wight 1702-1992, dates this volunteer force title to 1916-20.

This unit was part of the WW1 volunteer training corps (VTC) movement.
