V/Hants Shoulder Title

A scarce, brass, shoulder title for The Hampshire Volunteer Force with two lug fastenings (east and west). Woods 10.25.

Note: This title, believed to have been used by units of the WW1 Volunteer Training Corps (VTC) movement, is not mentioned in Ray Westlake's book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles.

Woods states: "No confirmation has been gained as to the history of this title but an educated guess would suggest that it followed post-1908 territorial experience and was worn on the greatcoat."
