The Queen's Bandsman's HP

A bi-metal helmet plate for a bandsman of The Queen's Regiment with three lug fastenings (north, east and west). As Hodges, p125, 18.

Note: Lieutenant Colonel Robin Hodges, in his book on British Army Badges, shows a similar plate with the updated title for The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment, reflecting the 1992 merger of The Queen's Regiment with The Royal Hampshire Regiment.

The centre of this plate appears to have two staple-style loop fastenings, which have been split open and bent over to secure the centre into the backplate. The centre-piece and scroll are separately pinned in place.
