Worcesters Valise Badge

A brass valise badge for The Worcestershire Regiment with four lug fastenings (possibly replacements). Bennett 1107.

Note: This is the early version with the ‘Firm’ motto, worn circa 1890-1904?

Roger Bennett, in his book on Badges of The Worcestershire Regiment, dates this badge from 1890 but notes inclusion of the 'Firm' motto was an error and the badge was withdrawn. However, he says there is evidence it was still in wear in 1904.
