RIR Officer's CBP

A scarce, silver-plated, cross-belt plate for an officer of The Royal Irish Regiment with three screw fastenings (north, east and west). The nuts remain intact, as does a green fabric backing. Hodges page 172, 14.

Note: Lieutenant Colonel Robin Hodges, in his book on British Army Badges, describes this as a shoulder-belt plate, although page 173, figure 18 shows it in wear on the cross-belt.
