Devonshire Regt Post-1881 Collar Badges

A pair of scarce, brass, collar badges for The Devonshire Regiment, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 335.

Note: Colin Churchill, in his book on the History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge, suggests these collars were introduced just after 1881 but proved very unpopular and were replaced later in the 1880s.
