RE (Vols?) HP

A nice, white metal, helmet plate for The Royal Engineers Volunteers (?) with two lug fastenings (east and west). As KK849/869.

Note: Curiously, this helmet plate has the Unique honour, which is typically missing on volunteer plates - if anyone has any insight on why this is, we would love to hear details.
