Y/Leicester Shoulder Titles

An interesting pair of brass shoulder titles for The Leicestershire Yeomanry, each with two lug fastenings (east and west).

Note: This title is mentioned in Ray Westlake's book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles (page 20 in my 2nd edition) but not illustrated.

The 'Ys' have a more coppery colour than the Leicester part. Three of the four lugs are hexagonal, the other has been replaced with a standard lug. Both titles carry a 'scar' where perhaps another lug existed, or perhaps the Y was copied from a title with a lug there?
