Early Bugle/Durham Shoulder Title

A cast brass shoulder title for The Durham Light Infantry with two lug fastenings (east and west). Westlake 1345.

Note: Ray Westlake, in his book on Collecting Metal Shoulder Titles, states: "A one-piece bugle/Durham was worn on the KD jackets circa 1885. A variant exists where ribbons replace the strings of the bugles, and the titles, which were made in India, are in cast brass. After 1907 two-piece titles were worn."
