RE Officer's HP

A nice, gilt, helmet plate for an officer of The Royal Engineers - unfortunately with its lug fastenings missing. KK849.

Note: This looks to be an 'official' conversion from a Victorian plate, with the crowns changed to avoid the officer needing to buy a new helmet plate.
