Border Regt Officer's Cap Badge

A rare, unmarked silver, cap badge for a militia/volunteer/territorial battalion of The Border Regiment with two lug fastenings (east and west). As KK644.

Note: This is the small version of The Border Regiment cap badge, as worn pre-1905. Possibly for the 5th (Cumberland) territorial battalion?

The reverse is marked for Firmin & Sons, 108-9 St Martins Lane, London - it's not your eyes, the stamp has been applied twice (badly!).
