Renfrewshire RV Officer's WBC

A scarce, silvered, waist-belt clasp for an officer of The Renfrewshire Rifle Volunteers. Curiously, this WBC has two sets of matching benchmarks (28 and 100). Bloomer book 1, page 117.

Note: William & Kathleen Bloomer, in their first book on Badges of the Highland & Lowland Regiments, describe this as an officer's WBC for the 2nd and 3rd Renfrewshire Rifle Volunteers and date it to circa 1874-87.
