Victorian N Staffs Collar Badges
A pair of bi-metal collar badges for The North Staffordshire Regiment, each with two lug fastenings (east and west). Churchill 1552.
Note: Colin Churchill, in his book on the History of The British Army Infantry Collar Badge, describes this as an erroneous pattern.
Churchill says the description of a plume "on top of the knot" was taken too literally and superimposed on the knot rather than above it, as in the cap badge.
