RTR (Reversed) Beret Badge

A scarce, white metal, 'reversed tank' pattern beret badge for The Royal Tank Regiment with a slider fastening. KK1922.

Note: This badge was worn briefly in 1924 but was rapidly replaced as the tank appeared to be in retreat when worn on the beret.

The reverse of the tank shows slight signs of two lug fastenings (east and west) - it seems lugs were frequently replaced (presumably by the unit) on these badges.
